Lately...

I’ve been asked by a friend what I’ve been up to lately, which brings me to this blog. I am a list person. I make lists of everything. Seriously, you should see my desk. Sticky notes of lists of every shape, size, and color take over my workspace. So, I decided I’d make a list of the things I’ve been up to lately and also a list of things I have planned to do and would like to do in the near future. Here’s my list:

What I’ve Been Up To:
-Playing coed softball
-Wracking my brain on what to buy everyone for Christmas
-Spending lots of time with the kiddos outside before it turns too cold out and we’re stuck in the house
-Yard sale-ing (want some of my junk?!)
-Digging out winter clothes
-Working out daily at the gym to try to lose these extra lbs Miss Morgan gave me

What I’m Looking Forward To:
-Holiday parties
-Church Fall Fest with the kiddos
-Cool, crisp fall air
-Football
-Loosing weight and toning up to fit in my pre-preg stuff again
-Family togetherness at Thanksgiving and Christmas (Morgan’s First)
-Black Friday shopping
-Wrapping in a blanket and snuggling on the couch sipping hot chocolate
-Christmas pictures
-Winter movie night at the Lee House

Things I’m Not So Excited About:
-Watching my wallet get thin
-Snow and Ice
-My babies growing too fast
-The thought of not having more kids
-My job
-The presidential election

So what have you been up to lately?

Weekend Review

I thought I'd post about my weekend....Here it goes. Friday night we decided to go to the Sheridan High football/homecoming game. That was fun. It has been 8 years since I've been to one. The cheerleaders looked like they were 12 years old! We had fun watching them. Jenna wants to be a cheerleader someday. She was doing the stunts, cheers, dancing right along with them! The game was good. We won 15-7 I believe. Morgan did great. She just sat and cooed at everyone that walked by. She thinks everyone is talking to her, its so cute! Anyways, Saturday morning I took the girls to the Fall Fest at EEE. What a waste of time/money!!! I paid $5 to get in. Needless to say, we didn't stay long. 1. There were only like 4 booths to play 2. I was going to do the cake walk and the man asked for 50 cents (um, what on earth did I pay $5 for???) 3. They ran out of candy 4. My kids were bored. I will not be going there again. So, we loaded up and went to the State Fair (I hate driving down Roosevelt!). I figured at least I'll get my money's worth there. We had fun at the fair. Stayed a little later than I was originally planning, but we had a blast. Seems like every kid there was picking their nose or blowing snot everywhere...mine included (see pic). Did I mention I hate driving Roosevelt?! Sunday morning, I had planned to go to church. I haven't been in about 4 years or so and I think its about time to get back to church. And also, Jenna's been really curious about some things especially since my Uncle Gene's death. I read her Bible to her and all but its just so hard to explain some things to a 3 year old. So anyways, we ended up not making it to church because (and I know this is no excuse) Jenna and Morgan both tossed and turned all night and I didn't get but maybe an hour of uninterrupted sleep. I slept in...a little. Then we all just hung out at the house and played outside and I cleaned house and did some yard work. My baby girl, Morgan, turned 4 months yesterday. Man, she's growing so fast. Four months have literally flown by. Well, I've got to cut this off before I start blabbing again. Here are some pics from this weekend for your enjoyment!

Where to begin...

Well this is my first attempt at blogging. I've been so inspired by reading some others I decided why not give it a go. I'm not exactly sure where to start. I've got alot on my mind lately but I find it hard to just let it all out. Especially here...online...for anyone to read. I guess I'll start by saying how happy I am with my life. I have a wonderful husband who has been so good to me these last couple of days. Since Morgan's birth Chris has really stepped up to the plate and helped me around the house the way a husband should help his wife. Being an only child who has never really had loads of responsibility growing up, I find it shocking that he actually does know how to do laundry and fold clothes, put away dishes, and take out trash! He's even been cooking ME dinner and fixing MY plate lately! Wow! Yeah, I've probably just knocked the socks off of everyone's feet that is reading. Well, on to other topics...Jenna is growing so fast. She's learning everything from ABC's to 123's and everything in between. She's such a girly-girl at times. Wearing dress up clothes and prancing around the living room with her purse and cell phone attached to her head. She's really big on answering the phone lately and throws the biggest fit if I answer the phone instead of letting her get it. Anyways, she's so good with her baby sister. I love watching the two of them play together. Even though Morgan is only almost 4 months old, she's gotten to where she definately has quiet the personality now! She's such a good baby. Never fusses and sleeps really well. I just love hearing her sweet little voice cooing and babbling! I could go on and on about my babies but I guess I better stop here. I don't want to bore everyone on my first attempt of blogging. So, if you've made it this far...thanks for reading! Hopefully I can keep this thing updated. We'll see...
