Oh, my goodness! I'm so blonde...I totally forgot I even had a blog, lol! I've had my nose stuck in Facebook lately and totally neglected my blog, yet AGAIN! Ugh. Blame it on the FB.

Well, nothing really new going on in my life. Everything's just hunky dorey, as always. Let's see...

My baby girl turned a year old in June. Talk about time flying! She's grown so fast. Little booger is the complete opposite of her big sister in so many ways. I love it! She's a hot mess!

We were prepared to send Jenna to preschool this fall, however, our lovely (sense the seeping sarcasm here please) Sheridan School District says that she didn't get in. Wanna know why? Here comes a big laugh... We apparently (suprise to me!) make too much money. Yeah, really?! And the kicker is that they wait til the last minute to let us know one way or the other so when I call the church preschool to ask about sending Jenna there, guess what. They're already booked. Great! So now my baby girl has to be told that she can't go to school because mom and dad make too much money. So wrong on so many levels.

Oh, yeah. Almost forgot.

My best friend got married! Tresa and Taylor had a BEAUTIFUL over-the-top wedding in July. I was a bridesmaid and my girlies were the cutest little flower girls I ever did see. Everyone got a laugh out of Morgan beating her sister with her roseball then the both of them stomping them to smitherines, lol! It was quite a site to see, if I do say so myself. All in all it was fun. Oh, all except the part where Jenna got sick and nearly puked on the bride's dress! Oh, man...Tresa would have literally killed me! And rumor is, someone threw a live bat on Tresa after her wedding. I didn't see it and I'm sure she was upset then, but how can you not look back and laugh at that later?! LOL! Memories, right?!

What else...

Jenna's 4th birthday is coming up. We're actually doing her party this weekend at the local water park. It took forever it seems, but we finally convinced her to have a flip-flop pool party. She was insistant on having a Spiderman party until I told her Spiderman can't come to a pool party. So in the end, momma won and my little GIRL is having a girly flip-flop party. =)

Ooo, ooo, oooh! And I'm so excited! My favorite people in all the world and I are planning a reunion for our kiddo's 5th birthday next year! I love my AB girlies so much. Seriously, they're more my friends than anyone else and I cannot wait to hang with them and the kiddos next summer!

Speaking of reunions... My 1o year highschool reunion comes next year as well. I'm so stoked about seeing everyone again! Guess, I better kick my butt in high gear and hit the gym pretty hard if I wanna be in the *in* group at the reunion. Man, two kids do a number on ya though. Seriously. Too bad my surgery is in another couple years and not sooner.

Okay, that just depressed me. I guess I'll get my butt off here and do some work. Maybe eat a cracker for supper then go for a run, lol. j/k

Random, I know. But have I mentioned my love for the Twilight books/movies? I think so. Anyways, I can't wait for New Moon. The guys are all so hot....I'd lick their teeth!

And with that, I'm outtie!
-Peace-

Confession

I am SO addicted to Twilight. Seriously, its the best book series ever. I mean, who doesn't dream of a love life like Edward and Bella's? And I absolutely adore Jacob Black. I could go on and on. But I'll stop here. I'm obsessed. That's all I wanted to say. Whew, I got that off my chest!

Good News

Well, it looks as though my mother doesn't have heart problems after all. Good news! However, now we've just got to buckle down and get her to stop smoking because it seems that all her problems are stemming from her lungs. Long story short, my mother has emphazema and COPD and, until just recently, has smoked 3 packs of cigs a day since she was about 15 or so. Very bad. Yes. Very, very bad. So after all these years its finally catching up to her. She's having complications with things so the docs are starting to narrow down everything starting with the worse case scenario. So, that said, its good news that even though she's having chest pain, its not her heart.

Good news.

She's doing great cutting back on the cigs. I'm so thankful for that and I hope and pray this works and she'll quit for good before its too late. I've got a whole other story I could share on this but I'll save it for later. Just, please if you're reading, keep my mother and my family in your prayers. Thanks.

So there was this girl who had a BFF since...like...preschool it seems. No really, since Jr. High School. They were seriously unseperatable (I so butchered that spelling) throughout there entire adolescence. Even into adulthood. Sisters. They practically lived together. Then one day, one of the girls gets married and has children and *** poof *** her best friend is gone...

Sadly, these types of things seem to be more common that I once thought possible.

That was the story of me and my best friend. We kinda went our seperate ways. I had an obligation and responsiblity to be a good mother and a good wife. I had settled down. She was still single and had her own life. Although my priorities had changed quiet a bit from childhood to now, I never wanted to stop being a good friend. But I wasn't a good friend at all. I stopped calling her, she stopped calling me. When I did talk to her, I felt uncomfortable at times. Almost like I was talking to a stranger. I hated that. Really. I was broken, literally in tears over this realization that my friend and I just grew apart in so many ways. I don't place blame on either of us though. I can't. We were just at different stages of life and I knew someday, we'd catch back up.

I got a phone call from Tresa in December. She was so excited to tell me she was engaged and getting married. I cannot even begin to tell you the releif, excitement, joy, ect. I felt hearing her happy voice on the other end of the phone. So happy for her. So happy to hear from her. So happy to hear her good news.

So, Tresa is marrying Taylor in July. I'm honored and blessed beyond anything you can imagine that I will be standing at Tresa's side as a bridesmaid in her wedding. And more than that, she's asked for my children to be part of the wedding as well. How great is that! Morgan and Jenna will be flower girls for my best freind's wedding. I've been waiting for this day for a while.

Good news.

I have my bff back.

That's really good news.

Morgan, that little stinker. I love that girl. She's so not a baby anymore, it seems. She's started crawling a few weeks ago and now she's pulling up to furniture. Soon (a little too soon for Momma) she'll be walking and playing chase with her sister. She's cut 5 teeth already and man do they hurt. We've got a biter, for sure. She's got quiet the personality, I tell ya. She's a ham. Always so happy.

We'll take Morgan to her 6 month checkup on the 5th of February. Yeah, she's almost 8 months getting 6 month vaccines becasue poor baby endured a horrible ear infection that set us back some on our schedule. Good news, the ear infection is over and she's feeling great now. Well, until Thursday anyways, when she gets the shots. She does horrible with them. Its hard to see such a happy baby that never even cries the tiniest bit, wale in pain and discomfort. I'm not looking forward to that part. I am anxious to see her weight though. She's big. But slowing down some I think. At about 6 months when she went in for the ear infection she weighed 19 pounds.

Good news. Jenna gets to play t-ball this spring! We're all so excited about this. I'll sign her up to play at East End. She's looking forward to it.

My little miss priss gets to be in a couple of weddings this year. The one I mentioned earlier and my cousin Dara's. She's a little flower girl. I'm thrilled that she was chosen to be the flower girl in both weddings. She's excited about wearing a "princess" dress and I'm just as excited. I can't wait!

Good news. Jenna may get to go to preschool this year at East End. I sure hope so. She's so ready to go to school. I honestly don't think she actually needs preschooling, she's a smart kid, but I think the socialization part of it would benefit her. We register her in a few weeks.

Chris and I are doing awesome going to the gym every day. We're trying hard to drop a few pounds and tone up so we look smokin hott this summer, lol. So far, so good.

That's all I have for now. Until next time...

My 'Need' List

So, I'm not usually one to blurt out a New Year's resolution and even if I do, I'm surely not one to stick to it. Everyone's had the usual - loose weight - spend less money - blah, blah, blah resolutions. Of course, those are good ones. Not knocking them at all. Actually, Chris and I are starting something different this year and it comes as just as big a shock to me as it probably does you. We're doing a workout plan called C25K (couch to 3 mile) running program. It'll take 9 weeks to complete. Wish us luck! And come on. We're in a recession whether we like it or not. Everyone can benefit from being a little more frugel (I so butchered that spelling) these days. But anyways, back to resolutions...this year I really want to make a difference. Make a difference in not only my life but my whole family's life. I want to really BE someone, ya know.

I want to be the person my girls (or anyone for that matter) looks up to. A positive role model. I want to teach them right from wrong by doing right.

I want to be the family that you see in town, all of us holding hands walking in unison. Happy and healthy.

I want to think and live life like every moment is a photograph and I want my album to be full of precious moments.

I want to be better at being a wife to my husband. I want to cook homemade meals more often and cuddle and tease and be teased without incident.

I want to prepare Jenna for preschool and teach her everything there is to know. I want to sing silly songs to her and draw funny faces. I want to play and learn.

I want to snuggle my girls a little more and read to them. I want to smell thier damp hair after a bath. I want to tickle thier little piggies, kiss thier nose, caress thier face.

I want to be a better Christain. I want my family to be active in church. I want my girls to know Christ and live for Him. I pray for His guidance and patience along our walk.

I want to be a better friend to my friends. I want to know what a girls night out (or even a girls day) feels like. I want to show my friends that I do love and care for each one of them.

I want to be fit. I want to cook healthy meals and eat dinner every night as a family. I want to jog down our neighborhood pushing my girls in the stroller. I want to hit the gym with Chris and really do good on our c25k plans.

Well, looking back over my list I've realized something. Man, I sound like a whiney brat with all those "wants"! In all honesty, I really should have said that I "need" for most of these things. Because it's true.

I'm really gonna work hard on these things.

Promise.

I hope to have a great year in 2009. So far, we're off on a really good start! I look forward to what this new year brings.

Happy New Year!

All in all we had a wonderful Christmas and great fellowship with our family, even though we all had a nasty stomach bug.

Christmas Time Is Here

Egg nog or hot chocolate? Hot chocolate, but egg nog is good too!

Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa puts presents under the tree. What fun would it be if you couldnt try to sneak a peak of what he left?

Colored lights on tree/house or white? I think the white lights are more traditional but having kids, the colored lights are more fun! However, we still hang the white lights at our house.

Do you hang mistletoe? Actually, no. I have never even thought about it!

When do you put your decorations up? Right after Thanksgiving, or soon after. I love Christmas music and decor!

Favorite holiday memory as a child? Sneaking into the living room to see what Santa brought us in the middle of the night. One year, (mom and dad knew us too well), me and my sisters tried to sneak a peak only to find that Santa had wrapped all the gifts and put color codes on them! Nobody knew what gift was theirs b/c Santa only left the code with Mom and Dad!

When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I guess I figured it out on my own, I was prob around 10 or so.

How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Mostly red and gold with some silver. Jenna got to help decorate this year and that was so much fun! So if you're at my house and see this one spot that the tree limb swags way low and has about 20 ornaments on, just smile and carry on. Jenna was so proud of herself! I wouldnt dare change it!

Snow! Love it or dread it? I love it but hate getting out in it. I'd love to have a white Christmas, but I guess that's unlikely to happen. We're more likely to get ice than snow anyhow.

Do you remember your favorite gift? As a child, my favorite gift was probably our trampoline! I loved that thing! And since marriage? That's hard. I love all the gifts I recieve and its so much more than recieving gifts now. I truely understand and try to live in the reason/meaning of Christmas now. But just to say one gift, I'd have to say my fuzzy blanket!

What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you? Getting together with the family to worship Him and celebrate his birth. That's most important always! Then comes the food and gifts, lol!

What is your favorite holiday dessert? Oh, let's see...well, I can't just pick one. I love ALL deserts! Did someone say fudge? Oh yeah baby! I need some fudge, buckeyes, mounds balls, brittle...

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas shopping on Black Friday with Mom and my sisters, Christmas Eve with my grandparents, Waking up at 6am sharp on Christmas morning, and I hope to start new traditions now that we have two small kiddos. One is that we will have an "Elf" that will magically appear in different places in the house until Christmas. His objective is to watch the girls and report back to Santa whether they've been bad or good. It will be fun to see where all "Elf" will choose to hide, lol! (yeah, I kinda stole that idea from Angie Smith).

Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? I love giving. Shopping for other's is so much fun and the reward of seeing them so surprised is so great!

What is your favorite Christmas song? I love Silent Night, but Jenna's favorite is "you better watch out" or whatever it is called. I hear that about a million times a day now!

Candy canes? Are yummy!

Favorite Christmas movie? I'm a weirdo and get freaked out by "antiques" such as Frosty and Rudolph so I'd have to say my favorite is...don't laugh...Home Alone! (seriously, I HATE the Wizard of Oz and Willy Woka)

What do you leave for Santa? Usually cookies and milk. This year Santa, or his reindeer actually, may leave something for us. Reindeer poop! (its actually no-bake cookies)

Well, Merry Christmas everybody!!!

My Poor Blog

Man, I feel awful! My poor blog page has totally gotten the shaft lately. Its been neglected for way too long. So here I am...writing another blog. The Lee household has just been way too busy lately for much of anything known as free time. Free time? What is that?! Seriously, with the holidays and the food and the shopping and the food and family gatherings...and did I mention the food??? I love the holidays! Let's see, I haven't even updated this thing for Halloween! It was great. We did the usual: rush home from work, set the candy bowl on the sofa table and try very hard to keep Jenna from eating everything in it, Chris pass out candy to our neighbors while I frantically try to get out of my work clothes and dress the girls, then we head out to the church fall fest where we eat hot dogs and popcorn and mingle with friends and family. Jenna was dressed as a nurse and Morgan, well, I'm not too sure what she was. She wore a black and orange tutu, black tights, and had a big Halloween decorated bow in her hair. Oh, and she had a black kitty cat bib on. Jenna said her sister was a kitty cat, so I guess she was a kitty cat. Morgan ended up winning a cosume contest in the outfit so I guess she was cute enough! Morgan also started eating cereal lately (as of November 2nd) and some fruits and veggies. She's a ham! Such a happy baby! She's rolling all over the place and trying to crawl. Why oh why can't she just stay a baby forever?! She's even saying "momma" now! And Jenna's such a little smarty pants. I'm so proud of her in so many ways. She's learned to draw people and let me tell ya. She does a pretty darn good job to just be three years old. Its cute, she has a big ol circle for a head and the arms and legs come out of the head. No body, lol! She even draws fingers and toes. Mind you, her people have about 50 fingers and maybe 3 toes sometimes but you get the idea. On to Thanksgiving. We ate way too much. As usual. I had a great time with my family. Its a tradition every year that me and my sister Donna and Mom all go shopping the day after Thanksgiving to hit the Black Friday deals. We got up Friday morn. at 4 am and off we went. Got great deals and had loads of fun. What girl doesn't love a whole day of shopping with her husband's credit card?!! Shoot, my Christmas shopping was just about done in one day! Speaking of Christmas, that's just around the corner and I'm sooo looking forward to it this year. Its Morgan's first Christmas and I plan to make it special for her and Jenna. Jenna's finally old enough to understand the meaning a little better and she even helped decorate the tree this year. It may not be perfect like the way I would do it, but I find myself smiling inside and thinking of how proud my Jenna was of herself when I see the one branch that has...oh, about 5 ornaments all bundled together. But it's pretty, nonetheless. Now we're looking forward to our annual Christmas party which will also be paired with my little sis's birthday this year. On the 13th, we'll all (friends and family) gather at my house to do a scavenger hunt around town. This should be fun! And then we'll come back for some good eating and Christmas movies. Yeah, we love the Griswalds! So, that about covers it. I have good intentions of not ever neglecting my poor blog again. We'll see if I can stick to it.
